Born and raised in Indianapolis, December 12th, 1966, we lived on the north side in a small suburb called "Broad Ripple". My father was an electrical engineer, then a salesman, my mother was a home maker. I attended Indianapolis Public Schools #'s 55 and 59. I then spent my freshman year at Broad Ripple High School. My parents divorced when I was in the 8th grade, and after my year at BRHS, I moved to Evansville, Indiana to live with my dad and step-mom. I spent the remaining 3 1/2 years of school there, then moved back to Indy with my mom and step-dad. We then moved up to the Aurora area, where I currently live.

I met my wife of 21 years here, in the Aurora area, in the month of February 1990. It was true love, and I asked her to marry me in March. The following September we were wed, and have 2 children, Amanda, 14 and Ben, 11. I started my career as a 911 dispatcher with the City of Naperville in '95. I worked there until 2004, where we decided to move closer to family in Indy. I worked at the Speedway, IN police department dispatch center for about a year, then moved back up to the Chicagoland area where I now work at a local sheriff office dispatch center. I was first licensed in 1996, and finally upgraded to General in May of 2011. I took a free class that was offered by a local club, the Fox River Radio League (frrl.org). I am the PIO for the Kendall County ARES group, and will be volunteering for the Kane County Office of Emergency Management (KCOEM.org) as a ham radio liaison/weather spotter.
